The Massachusetts Republican Party condemns in the strongest possible terms the fatal shootings that occurred over the weekend in Ohio and Texas. At least 29 persons have been murdered, and many more wounded.

Together with all Americans, we offer our prayers and our thoughts on behalf of the victims and their loved ones.
Our hearts are with our fellow Americans in El Paso and in Dayton. In a particularly vicious and cowardly attack, the gunman in El Paso targeted families who were doing their weekend shopping at a Walmart.

On so many levels, this threatens the peaceful way of life followed by countless American families.

Our appreciation and admiration goes out to the brave police officers, first responders, and civilians, who risked their own lives trying to save the lives of others.
We unequivocally condemn the criminal perpetrators who carried out these unspeakable acts of domestic terrorism. As we remember the victims and their families, we all must work together in a spirit of good faith and community to prevent such senseless and vicious crimes from occurring in our nation.
