MassGOP Calls on Lisa Field to Come Clean About Lobbyist Work

4.8.25

Boston, MAToday, Massachusetts Republican Party Executive Director John Milligan called on Lisa Field, Democratic candidate for State Representative in the 3rd Bristol District, to be transparent with voters about her profession as a registered lobbyist.

“Lisa Field needs to be honest with the people she hopes to represent,” said Milligan. “We already have enough secrecy on Beacon Hill. The last thing we need is another politician who hides their role as a paid lobbyist from the public.”

In public statements and campaign materials, Field refers to herself as an “Associate Director.” However, records from the Secretary of the Commonwealth reveal she has been a registered lobbyist since 2016, earning over $273,000 in that role — not including her income in 2025. She has been listed 36 times as a registered lobbyist with the Office of Campaign and Political Finance, and appears 26 times in OpenSecrets.org’s federal lobbying database.

“It’s a serious red flag when a candidate conceals a lobbying career from voters,” added Milligan. “State Representatives are elected to serve the public — not special interests, and not the highest bidder. Lisa Field’s failure to disclose over $200,000 in lobbying income raises real concerns about who she’s really working for.”

The MassGOP is calling on Field to immediately update her campaign materials and publicly acknowledge her record as a lobbyist.
