Resolution for Secure Elections in Massachusetts

Whereas: The Massachusetts Republican Party and its Election Integrity and Registration Committee are working to protect the legitimacy of elections in Massachusetts by following sound processes and guidance aimed at reducing the risk of voter fraud;

Whereas: Voter information and processes must be transparent and available for scrutiny and analysis by the public for an open, honest election;

Whereas: The vote of a citizen is a right protected by the U.S. Constitution and it is our duty and honor to defend that right; and

Whereas: The electoral process has deteriorated to such a level unrecognizable from its original design.

We the undersigned, therefore,

Resolve: That the Massachusetts Republican Party and its Election Integrity and Registration Committee work to inspect every aspect of the electoral process and pursue changes to promote the security and integrity of our elections, as it was originally designed, to include the following objectives:

  1. Voter Identification
  2. U.S. citizens only
  3. Clean voter rolls
  4. Observation of all electoral processes
  5. Equal political party representation
  6. Limited mail ballots (e.g., overseas military; physically handicapped)
  7. All ballots received by Election Day
  8. No automatic registrations
  9. No same-day registrations
  10. No voting for children under 18 yrs.
  11. Replace all insecure voting technology
  12. Pre-printed secure paper balloting
  13. Post-election independent audits

Resolve: That the Massachusetts Republican Party work with legislators to write and champion bills that further the above objectives and oppose those that don’t.
