BOSTON, MA – March 6, 2026 — Massachusetts Republican Party Chairwoman released the following statement.

MassGOP Chair Amy Carnevale said, “The recent revelation that Marcelo Gomes da Silva, “is referenced in police reports involving sexual assault and juveniles,” should not be taken lightly.

“This should not be swept under the rug after Governor Maura Healey, Congressman Seth Moulton and the Boston Globe put him on a pedestal.”

She concluded, “I am further shocked that the Boston Globe, known for their ‘Spotlight’ series focused on deep investigative journalism, would overlook such a serious concern.”
