Not Address Problems Facing Massachusetts

 

BOSTON, MA – With an unpopular Governor silent on a multitude of scandals, Maura Healey’s Mass Dems convention speech is expected to avoid more than address.

 

Lack of Opportunity

The Healey-Driscoll administration has stayed quiet on the ongoing outmigration of people and jobs. Don’t expect any mention of businesses that left Massachusetts this year, including Panera Bread, Zipcar, Thermo Fisher Scientific, SynQor, Analogic Corp., Cape Cod Potato Chips, and others. Will the DCU vendors remove the Cape Cod Potato Chips?

 

Lack of Affordability

With Massachusetts ranking in the bottom ten nationally in seven major categories, Healey is unlikely to highlight her lack of record on electric rates or cost of living for residents and businesses.

 

Lack of Accountability

Healey has multiple scandals to dodge: SNAP and MassHealth fraud, the latest MassDOT overtime scandal, the MBTA’s $713,000 no-bid contract, and the LaMar Cook cocaine trafficking case in her Western Mass office.

And these are the scandals only from the past six months!

 

Lack of Safety

Just one week after Healey and Mayor Wu promoted Boston as safe enough to host the 2028 Democratic National Convention, a shooting occurred around the corner on Friend Street. Following the Memorial Drive shooting and other recent incidents, Healey has stayed silent.

Massachusetts cannot afford silence on safety.

 

Massachusetts deserves answers from Maura Healey, not excuses and smokescreens.
