Transparency is needed with $2 Billion in a Sweetheart Deal for Congresswoman Pressley’s Husband, and NEW MBTA overtime fraud
BOSTON – The Massachusetts Republican Party today renewed the need for full transparency from Governor Healey as more fraud and questionable billion dollar deals have been reported.
“If Maura Healey stands behind her management and decisions, then she should have no problem being fully transparent in both the court case and MBTA fraud investigations,” said Amy Carnevale, Chairwoman of the Massachusetts Republican Party.
As the Boston Herald reported this, “follows the Applegreen service plaza debacle, headed by former Healey Transportation Secretary Monica Tibbits-Nutt, which saw MassDOT award a contract to another politically connected bidder that would have cost taxpayers $900 million.”
However this deal would only add to Pressley’s rapidly growing net worth. The Boston Herald also reported, “Pressley’s net worth has exploded from an estimated $12,500 during her time as Boston city councilor in 2018 to a whopping $8 million in 2024, according to Open Secrets. She receives a congressional salary of $174,000.”
Carnevale added, “Healey and Pressley must answer all questions surrounding this sweetheart deal, and not duck reporters for photo ops.”
Carnevale concluded, “Massachusetts can’t afford four more years of this kind of dismal performance from Maura Healey.”
