Meet John Deaton
Hear John’s vision for Massachusetts’ future to end the stranglehold of our current Democrat Senate delegation.
John Deaton is a Massachusetts attorney, former U.S. Marine, and cryptocurrency advocate who became the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in Massachusetts in 2024. He challenged incumbent Senator Elizabeth Warren in the general election after winning the Republican primary.
Background
Born in Detroit and raised in poverty by a single mother.
• Served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a judge advocate.
• Built a legal career, including representing victims of mesothelioma and asbestos exposure.
• Became nationally known in cryptocurrency circles through his advocacy for crypto investors, particularly in litigation involving Ripple and XRP.
Political Positions
During his 2024 Senate campaign, Deaton described himself as a fiscally conservative but socially moderate Republican. He stated that:
• He supports abortion rights and said he would oppose a federal abortion ban.
• He supports same-sex marriage.
• He accepts the scientific consensus on climate change while advocating a mix of energy sources, including nuclear power.
• He has been a strong supporter of cryptocurrency and critic of some federal crypto regulations.
Current Status
Having secured 60% of the Convention support in April, John Deaton is again seeking a U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts, this time challenging incumbent Senator Ed Markey. John is the MA GOP endorsed candidate for the US Senate in 2026.
