Fairhaven Republican Town Committee meeting

September 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Event Series (See All)

Please consider joining us and attend our September 16th monthly Republican Town Committee meeting, We meet at 32 Abbey St at 6pm. All are welcome. We are the only elected political party committee in Fairhaven, having appeared and been elected by the voters in the 2024 Presidential primary.

Others were not elected by the people, but only submitted applications to their party and the Secretary of State Office. Being elected gives us great credibility. We represent the Republican Party at a local and neighborhood level.Sharing ideas, making plans, recruiting new members and candidates for office is our primary goal.

We have scheduled two guest speakers to attend our September meeting on Tuesday the 16th at 6pm.

Nurse Dan Sullivan, a good friend of our committee will discuss his second congressional race to unseat long time Democrat incumbent “Dollar” Bill Keating as Dan calls him. Bill Keating has served since 1985 as the US Representative for Massachusetts 9th Congressional District. Mattapoisett

Select board chair Tyler Macallister announced his candidacy for this seat at our August 19th meeting, which we were most grateful for.

Our committee member Mr. Rick Trapelo has asked to give us an immediate up date on the progress of the” Atlas Tack” factory site clean up and land redevelopment. We are so proud and grateful to Rick for his service on the Town planning board, the S.R.P.E.D.D’s environmental committee and the New Bedford Harbor Planning Committee. Rick has emerged as the vanguard in the fight for our right to a clean, safe and protected environment. Most recently Rick has given testimony to state legislators and worked on the House bill N638 to establish a ” Coastal Waters

Financing Commission.

We invite, welcome and encourage all those interested in hearing about these issues that may affect you directly to attend, listen and be heard. You can contact us at fairhavenrtc@gmail.com or call Bob McConnell at 508-863-0416 with questions, concerns or suggestions
