SUMMARY:Sandwich Republican Town Committee Monthly Meeting Feat. Anne Brensley for Lt. Governor
DESCRIPTION:The next SRTC meeting will be held Tuesday\, October 14\, 2025\, at JD Burgers\, located at 280 Route 130 Sandwich\, MA 02563. The social hour will be from 5:30pm to 6:30pm where we can order drinks and food items from the menu\, socialize and network. The official meeting will start at 6:30pm. We appreciate JD Burgers for hosting us as they do not charge for the use of the room\, so let’s support them by ordering food and or drinks from the menu! \n  \nWe are pleased to have Anne Brensley\, candidate for Lieutenant Governor\, as our special guest. Anne announced her candidacy in mid-September and is currently a Select Board member for the town of Wayland\, MA. Anne obtained her law degree from Suffolk University and is currently CEO of DevCo North America\, which specializes in investment asset management for industries such as real estate\, crypto-currency and renewable energy. Anne’s vision is to prioritize local families and communities and to create a State Budget that prioritizes local issues\, giving ownership back to young people to support themselves and their families. Governor 2026 | Republican Candidate Massachusetts \nThank you all for attending our SRTC meeting last Monday (Sept 15th). We had a great crowd and terrific speakers. It was good to see all of you\, and it was good to be together. \n  \nSpecial thanks to Sam Miele of TPUSA for speaking of his experiences with Turning Point USA and meeting with Charlie Kirk. It was very moving\, and we appreciate all he has done. Sam is now with Massachusetts Family Institue\, and we look forward to seeing a lot more of Sam. Sam will accomplish great things. \n  \nThanks to Eileen Starrs\, Vice Chair of SRTC and member of Cape Cod Concerned Citizens who spoke to the Town’s plans to build the $60 million joint DPW / Fire station. BTW\, Eileen and I spoke at the Select Board’s Public Forum\, requesting less expensive alternatives as well as a recommendation to hold a public meeting where town residents can express their thoughts\, opinions and ask questions. \n  \nThanks to Assembly Delegate James Killion for speaking about Barnstable County Regional Government’s plan to implement a new 2% regional luxury real estate transfer tax to “solve the housing crisis.” Jim mentioned that it is possible that the threshold could be lower than the $2 million originally put forth. (Just imagine\, a 2% transfer tax on the sale of a $1 million home would amount to a $20\,000 transfer tax in addition to thousands of dollars in other closing costs. (Who is going to sell their homes in Barnstable County if this passes)? \nJim also spoke to the County’s Charter Review Committee\, which will conduct its five-year review and could alter the composition of the Assembly. \nThanks to John Mawhinney of the Civil Rights Coalitions for speaking about the press conference for Kyle Culotta on Beacon Hill\, Boston. Kyle Culotta is still in jail for unknowingly carrying a gun from out of state on his way from Arizona to New Hampshire. \n  \nThanks to Anastasia Welch Perrino\, Barnstable County Register of Probate who spoke to her candidacy for re-election. Anastasia does a tremendous job and needs to be re-elected to serve the people of Barnstable County! \n  \nThanks to Erich Horgan and Eric Ludvigsen who spoke to Election Integrity initiative.
