Bill Keating has served since 1985 as the US Representative for Massachusetts 9th Congressional District. Mattapoisett \n  \nSelect board chair Tyler Macallister announced his candidacy for this seat at our August 19th meeting\, which we were most grateful for. \n  \nOur committee member Mr. Rick Trapelo has asked to give us an immediate up date on the progress of the” Atlas Tack” factory site clean up and land redevelopment. We are so proud and grateful to Rick for his service on the Town planning board\, the S.R.P.E.D.D’s environmental committee and the New Bedford Harbor Planning Committee. Rick has emerged as the vanguard in the fight for our right to a clean\, safe and protected environment. Most recently Rick has given testimony to state legislators and worked on the House bill N638 to establish a ” Coastal Waters \nFinancing Commission. \n  \nWe invite\, welcome and encourage all those interested in hearing about these issues that may affect you directly to attend\, listen and be heard.
